Objective:
1. Foster collaborative Learning and Growth
2. To discuss on collaborative research and various quality initiatives
3. To discuss on organizing events, activities, students exchange etc.

Key Points Covered:
Centre for Family Business Management: Identified as having significant potential due to the
common challenge of family businesses failing to survive beyond three generations.
Emphasized the importance of building case studies in this area to address such issues.
Management Development Programs (MDPs) and Joint Research Programs: Proposed the
organization of MDPs and joint research programs. Suggested offering students immersion
programs and internships in startups and SMEs to provide practical exposure and experience.
Capstone Project - Hybrid Model: Discussed the hybrid model for capstone projects, blending
theoretical knowledge with practical applications to enhance learning outcomes and skill
development.
Faculty Industrial Visits: Discussed arranging and encouraging faculty industrial visits to stay
updated with industry trends and practices. Recognized the value of firsthand experience in
enriching teaching methodologies.
Enhancing Industry-Institution Interaction: Stressed the importance of strengthening ties
between academia and industry to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical
application.
Developing Faculty Acumen: Proposed sending faculty members to spend at least two weeks in
the industry to study grey areas and convert them into case studies. This initiative aims to
enhance faculty expertise and relevance in teaching.

Conclusion:
The guest session successfully addressed the objectives of fostering collaborative learning and
growth, discussing collaborative research and quality initiatives, and organizing events and
activities. The discussions highlighted several actionable strategies to enhance academia-
industry collaboration, provide practical exposure to students, and develop faculty expertise.
Implementation of these strategies is expected to enrich the learning experience and contribute
to the overall growth of the institution.
