The Academics Department successfully hosted an enlightening session with Professor Ariel Rubinstein on 13th January 2025, where he discussed key insights from his latest book, "No Prices No Games!: Four Economic Models".
Professor Rubinstein captivated the students with his exploration of alternative economic models that move beyond traditional market mechanisms and game theory. He discussed how concepts like Power Dynamics (Jungle Equilibrium), Social Norms, Status, and Preference Biases can shape economic interactions and outcomes.
The session encouraged all our students to think critically about how economies can function through societal structures rather than relying solely on prices and strategic games.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Professor Rubinstein for sharing his expertise and to all students for their enthusiastic participation, making this session a truly thought-provoking experience.
