Dr. D.Y. Patil B- School, Pune believes in sowing the seed of knowledge to replace an empty mind with an open mind. Keeping this thought in mind Dr. D.Y. Patil B- School in collaboration with Dr. Soetomo University, Indonesia and AIMS India conducted a 3-days E-International Conference from 23rd March to 25th March 2021. It was organized by IQAC and Research Publication Cell to understand how the businesses and educational sector have embraced the change brought about by adopting digital technologies in their product offering in this difficult time of pandemic and also to explore the new ways of sustenance in the new normal with an innovative docket- “Embracing change and Transformation Breakthrough Innovation and Creativity.”
The three days event witnessed the participants from 10 countries of the world like U.K., U.S.A., France, Indonesia, Philippines, Iran, Oman, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia etc. The conference provided a common platform to the voracious researchers, industry, practitioners, academicians, research scholars, consultants, technocrats and students with strong research orientation to develop, discuss and present innovative and nascent ideas and the emerging phenomena in digital transformation in the new world which is expected to emerge in the post pandemic era and for this it invited research papers within the ambit of major functional areas, viz. finance, marketing, HR, business analytics and pharmaceutical management and thus made a historic global panoptic moment.
Keeping in sync with the digitization trend of today’s world and pandemic scenario Prof. Dr. Sonali Saha on behalf of DYP B-School kicked off 3 Days “International E-Conference 2021 with the e-lamp lighting ceremony and Saraswati Vandana.
Prof. Dr. Atul Kumar, the convener of the conference was asked towalk through the audience about the overview of the conference, how useful it is for us and what does the future hold for all of us in the context of the theme of this conference. Then Dr. Amol Gawande, director Dr. D. Y. Patil B-School delivered his welcome address. He announced that more than 200 Research Papers received from various parts of the world out of which 140 Research Papers were accepted for Presentation and publishing in the form of Conference proceedings bearing an ISBN.
Followed by the welcome address of the director Dr. Amol Gawande and the keynote address of Dr. Somnath Patil, Secretary, DPU, Chief Patron who congratulated all the delegates participated from various parts of the world .He said that Research Papers compiled in the conference proceedings will serve as a Knowledge repository for further Research studies and also extended his best wishes for the success of the conference.
The chief guest of the conference was Dr. Abhay E Wagh, Director of Directorate of Technical Education, Govt. of Maharashtra. He highly appraised the digital conference and also expressed that how relevant is the theme of conference. He said that we are living in a VUCA world and change is the only mantra.
Our Guest of Honour, Prof R Hariharan Sir, advisor, Policy and Academic Planning Bureau, AICTE told us about the 3 levels of creativity. Example of highest level of creativity is creation of music. The buzzword is innovation. Various schemes are introduced for better digital learning like Kapila.
Special Guest, Dr. Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra Sir, Chancellor, Shobhit Meerut and Shobhit University, Gangoh, mentioned that curiosity, courage, compassion, commitment and collaboration are equally important to bring about change.
Guest of Honour, Prof. Alok Prakash Mittal Sir, Director, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose University of technology, West Camous, Delhi mentioned about the advantage of technology leading to a transparent system. Dr. Maithiyana Indrasari Mam, Vice Chancellor, Dr. Soetomo University, Indonesia informed about the importance of marketing and communication skills for business and various programs to bring about changes. Dr. Hamid Saremi Sir, Chancellor, Asrar Higher Institute of Education (Deemed to be University), Iran guided us on financial engineering in global economy for sustainability. Financial innovation plays an essential role in economic growth. Dr. Cyril De La Fuente, Director at Asian University Intl, Phillipinnes said that educational strategies are required to overcome the pandemic so as not hamper education.
Prof. Dr. Arvind Ashta Sir, Professor, Burgundy School of Business, France guided us on artificial Intelligence for finance. Research on AI has significantly increased. He also told us about AI techniques in finance.
The other eminent guests of honour were Dr. Sunil Rai, Dr. Neeraj Saxena, Dr. Froilan Mobo (Philippines), Dr. Justin Paul (U.S.A), Mr. Debi Prasad Das, Apeksha Prabhu Walavalkar (U.K.). along with the keynote speakers from 10 different countries. Lastly vote of thanks proposed by the co-convener of the conference Dr.Rashmi Paranjapye. She also stated that the resounding success of the Inaugural session would not have been possible without the blessings and best wishes from our beloved Chancellor, Vice Chancellor and Secretary of Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune and with this note official closing of the Inaugural session was announce.
Cash prize of Rs 30,000 , Rs 15000 & Rs 7500 were given to the 1st Prize, 2nd Prize and third prize winners of the research paper presentors, respectively.
