Business Advisory Council Meeting

Objectives:

  • Serve as a sounding board for strategic plans and goals, research projects, educational programs, and external activities
  • Provide advice and assistance in placing graduates in career positions and internship opportunities
  • Assist in accomplishing new programs, centers, and initiatives
  • Communicate the needs and requirements of the business community to ensure that our graduates develop the skills and abilities required for success
  • Provide feedback on our degree programs about their relevance to organizations of the future
  • Provide assistance and advice in acquiring resources in the business community to support the mission and objectives of the School of Business

The Business Advisory Council held a meeting on June 23, 2018, at Dr. D. Y. Patil B-School, with senior industry leaders discussing ways to enhance the Business Program and make it more corporate-ready. The meeting generated a wealth of valuable ideas with attendees including:

  • Prashant Shrivastav - President, Group HR, Reliance ADAG
  • Anjan Gupta - Vice President, Morgan Stanley
  • Sudhir Soundalgekar - Director, Project, Raymond Apparels
  • Sachin Narke - Chief Learning Officer & Head of HR, Forbes Marshall
  • Neena Kamal - Founder, One Berry Box
  • Anil Jalihal - Chief Financial Officer, Indo Shotle
  • John Badal - Saboo Group
  • Rajesh Kumar Singh - Global Head of HR, KPIT
  • Ravindra Utgikar - Vice President, Praj Industries
  • Shupriyo - CEO, MBS Global

During the meeting, these esteemed individuals shared their insights and suggestions on how to add value to the Business Program and ensure its readiness for the corporate world.

Key Outcomes of the activity include- 

  • Enhancing the Business Program and making it corporate-ready.
  • Discussion of different strategic goals and plans.
  • Providing more placement exposure to the projected Institute.
  • Conducting various methods to make the institute an Industrial Leader.
