With this inspired quote, Dr. D. Y. Patil B-School Start up and innovation cell organized The Workshop on Entrepreneurship Skill, Attitude and Behaviour Development under MoE’s Innovation Cell.
Dr. D. Y. Patil B-School introduced the Certification Programme on “Disruptive Innovation” a unique one of its kind, compose of four modules out of which first module is “Entrepreneur & Intrapreneurial Mindset”, Dr. Mitali More, Co-founder and Director skillEtz foundation, Founder Gurukey Educational Solutions, a well-known face of women entrepreneurship in Maharashtra grace the occasion as a guest speaker to provide insight on topic, she enlighten student by giving her own example of her entrepreneurship by showing a brick created with the plastic waste and rubber, her innovation was well appreciated by people and Pune Municipal Corporation and given her contract for providing these bricks for new washrooms and toilets constructed over the year in Pune City.
Dr. Mitali further explain that for innovation and entrepreneurship we didn’t require much funding or external support as row material for her innovation is plastic and fabric waste which is easily and cheaply available, further she explains you can set up your business by creative mindset and ambition to create something, she explain how waste can be a good row material for starting new business with example of Miss India competition where fabric used by current Miss India in her finale was made from waste fabric as sari, to add further she given example of creating handlooms and selling on marginal profit made from garbage fabric cloths by one of the Pune settled couple .
While explaining the Entrepreneurial mindset she shared the story of Ms. Indra Nooyi, CEO at PepsiCo, how she developed brand which is owned by someone else and her contribution to bring the brand up in the market and become market leader.
Dr. Meetali explains that not every idea makes you entrepreneur there are some failed innovations as well like Oreo watermelon flavor, Colgate beef Lasagna, Mack Donald’s onion Nuggets etc but as it’s our brainchild we need to stick with it make improvement and bring again in market with more add on.

Discussion was concluded with question-and-answer session with vote of thanks from student representative.
