Objectives:
 To guide students in building a strong and authentic personal brand for career advancement.
 To provide insights into becoming industry-ready through leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
 To familiarize students with key aspects of the hiring process, including setting a pitch, handling placement interviews, and accessing   high-paying roles.
 To emphasize the use of social media as a professional branding tool.
 To motivate students to transition from learners to future leaders through strategic career planning.

Brief Report:
As part of Diksharambh 2025, Dr. D. Y. Patil B-School hosted a highly practical and motivating session on “From Learning to Leading: Industry Readiness and Personal Brand Building” by Mr. Pawan Shekatkar, Manager – Talent Management at Harbinger Group, on 17th June 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Mr. Shekatkar drew from his rich experience in talent acquisition and development to deliver a compelling session focused on preparing students for the evolving demands of the industry. He emphasized the importance of standing out in a competitive job market by building a unique personal brand and mastering interpersonal skills.

Mr. Shekatkar explained how students can consciously craft and communicate their personal brand through clarity in values, consistent messaging, and showcasing their strengths both online and offline.

Students were introduced to the fundamentals of salary and job offer negotiation, including how to research market standards, present value confidently, and maintain professionalism during negotiations.

The speaker guided students on how to develop an effective elevator pitch for recruitment scenarios, focusing on clarity, confidence, and alignment with employer expectations.
