The session was led by Ms. Sarabsri Kaur, a psychotherapist and the founder of Mindful Check-in, an initiative promoting mental health and wellness.
The interactive session began with an introduction to mindfulness—defined as the practice of intentionally focusing on the present moment without judgment. Ms. Kaur elaborated on the psychological and physiological benefits of mindfulness, including stress reduction, improved concentration, emotional regulation, and enhanced interpersonal relationships.
Through experiential exercises, students practiced mindful breathing, body scans, and guided meditation. Ms. Kaur emphasized the relevance of mindfulness in academic settings, helping students deal with pressure, multitasking, and digital distractions. Real-life examples and reflections made the session engaging and deeply relatable.
The event concluded with an open-floor discussion, where students shared personal experiences and posed insightful questions regarding applying mindfulness in everyday life and career settings.
The session was well-received and left a positive impact on the participants, encouraging them to integrate mindfulness practices into their routines.
