Mr. Mishra shared his personal observations on why communication skills are essential for success, not only in interviews and meetings but also in creating a lasting personal and professional brand.
He emphasized that in today’s competitive world, one must be able to convince, communicate, and connect to stand out. Whether you're selling a product, presenting an idea, or promoting yourself, effective speaking is the key.
Key Discussion Highlights-
Purpose Setting as the First Step:
Mr. Mishra explained how every impactful speaker begins by setting a clear purpose for their message, which gives direction and focus to the communication process.
The Learning Pyramid:
He introduced students to the Learning Pyramid, which ranks learning methods from passive to active:

He encouraged students to engage in active methods such as practice and teaching others to truly Master public speaking.
Focus on the Messenger, Not Just the Message:
While content is important, Mr. Mishra emphasized that how you present yourself (voice, body language, presence) leaves a deeper impact. He advised students to align their communication style with their personality.
Strategies to Deal with Stage Fear:
Students were guided through practical tips to manage stage fear, including breathing techniques, visualization, audience connection, and positive self-talk.
Communication as a Career Strategy:

The talk was interactive, with students sharing their fears and experiences, and Mr. Mishra offering personalized advice. He encouraged every student to make deliberate efforts toward becoming a better communicator, regardless of their field or future specialization.
He concluded the session with a powerful statement:
