Detail Report
As part of the Diksharambh 2025 induction celebration, Dr. D. Y. Patil B-School hosted a spirited and soulful Orientation Session of the Performance Art Club (Music) on 6th June 2025. This session aimed to welcome fresh talent into the musical fold of the institute and ignite enthusiasm among students for participating in the school’s cultural life.
The session began with a warm welcome from the faculty coordinators, followed by an engaging presentation highlighting the vision, past achievements, and upcoming initiatives of the Music Club. Live clips of past performances and student testimonials were showcased to illustrate the energy and talent within the club.
Key Highlights:
Introduction to the Music Club:
Students were introduced to the club’s purpose, team structure, and the types of musical engagements available — from solo singing and band performances to instrumental showcases and themed open mics.
Student Performances:
A few senior members performed live to give the audience a taste of the creativity that thrives within the club. Genres ranged from Indian classical to contemporary pop, creating a lively and inclusive vibe.
Interactive Segment:
The session included a musical icebreaker where volunteers from the new batch participated in impromptu singing, beatboxing, or rhythm games, creating an atmosphere of fun and connection.
Club Membership Drive:
Students were encouraged to register their interest, share their musical backgrounds, and sign up for upcoming auditions and collaborative projects.
Vision for the Year:
The club coordinators outlined a roadmap of events for the academic year — including intercollegiate competitions, music production workshops, and annual cultural festivals — inviting students to contribute actively.
Outcomes of the Session:
Generated enthusiasm among students to participate in cultural and creative initiatives.
Encouraged first-year students to step out of their comfort zones and engage in musical expression.
Successfully inducted new members into the music club community.
Fostered an inclusive, creative space where students could connect beyond academics.
The Orientation of the Performance Art Club (Music) was a melodious and motivating experience that set the tone for a culturally rich academic journey. Through this initiative, Dr. D. Y. Patil B-School reinforced its commitment to holistic student development — where creativity, expression, and talent are celebrated as much as academic and professional growth.
As the music played and the voices rose, it was clear that this was not just an orientation — it was the beginning of a shared journey in rhythm, passion, and collaboration.
