As a part of celebration activity, Dr. D.Y. Patil B-School celebrated National Startup Day on 16th January 2025. Dr. D.Y. Patil B-School fraternity wholeheartedly welcomed Mr. B. S. Nagesh, the Father of Modern Retail in India, for an inspiring session titled "A Dialogue with Future Leaders" on Thursday, 16th January 2025, at Dr. D. Y. Patil B-School. In alignment with National Startup Day, Dr. D.Y. Patil B-School organized "A Dialogue with Future Leaders," an engaging session aimed at inspiring the next generation of entrepreneurs and innovators. The event served as a platform for aspiring startup founders to interact with successful industry expert Mr. B.S. Nagesh, and alumni who have made significant strides in their respective domains. As the Chairman of Shoppers Stop Ltd. and Founder of TRRAIN, Chairman, Shoppers Stop Ltd.; Founder-TRRAIN. Mr. Nagesh shared invaluable insights into his transformative journey in the Indian retail industry and the importance of innovation, resilience, and leadership in driving success.

Mr. Nagesh emphasized that leadership and entrepreneurship are deeply interconnected, as both require vision, resilience, and the ability to inspire change. Entrepreneurs are inherently leaders, guiding their ventures from ideation to execution, navigating challenges, and motivating teams toward a shared goal.
