A Corporate Mentoring Session was conducted for Finance Division C students, led by distinguished resource persons, Professor Dr. Jignesh Sanghvi. The objective of the session was to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry expectations by highlighting diverse career opportunities in the finance sector. A futures contract is a standardized financial agreement between two parties to buy or sell an asset at a predetermined price on a specified future date.

Traded on exchanges like the CME or NSE, these contracts cover commodities, stocks, currencies, and indices. Futures help investors hedge against price fluctuations or speculate for profit. Unlike options, futures obligate both parties to execute the trade. Margin requirements ensure participants maintain enough funds to cover potential losses. Popular among traders and institutions, futures provide liquidity, leverage, and risk management tools. Their pricing depends on factors like interest rates, supply-demand, and market sentiment.

They guided students on identifying their areas of interest and building a structured career path.
The session was interactive and engaging, with students actively participating in discussions around career planning, skill development, and current industry trends.

Overall, the session was insightful and motivating, offering practical guidance to students aspiring to build a successful career in finance.
