Objectives
The primary objectives of Fit Fest 2.0 were:
• To encourage students to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle.
• To create awareness about the importance of physical fitness and mental resilience.
• To provide a platform for students to test their strength, endurance, and agility.
• To foster teamwork, discipline, and a spirit of friendly competition.
• To build a culture of sportsmanship and camaraderie among participants.
• To motivate students to push their physical and mental limits in a fun and engaging manner.
Fit Fest 2.0, the second edition of the highly anticipated fitness and endurance event, was successfully held at Dr. D. Y. Patil B-School, on February 28, 2025. The event aimed to promote physical fitness, mental resilience, and a spirit of sportsmanship among students. This event was bigger, better, and more challenging, providing an unparalleled experience for fitness enthusiasts and those seeking to challenge themselves.
Event Highlights
Fit Fest 2.0 featured a variety of high-intensity competitions and strength-building challenges designed to test endurance, agility, stamina, and mental toughness. Participants engaged in several events, including:
Deadlift Challenge – Testing raw strength and lifting endurance.
Obstacle Course – Assessing agility, speed, and coordination through a series of hurdles.
Plank Endurance – Measuring core stability and endurance.
Push-up Challenge – Testing upper body strength and stamina.
Tug of War – Encouraging teamwork and sheer physical power.
Sprint and Relay Races – Evaluating speed and endurance in a competitive setup.
Each event was designed to push participants beyond their limits while ensuring a fun and engaging experience. The energy in the gymnasium was electric, with enthusiastic spectators cheering on the competitors, adding to the intensity of the competition.
Participation and Engagement
The event saw an overwhelming response, with a large number of students actively participating and showcasing their fitness levels. Many students who had never participated in such challenges before found Fit Fest 2.0 to be an inspiring platform to test and push their physical boundaries. Faculty members and sports coordinators also attended, encouraging students to embrace a healthy lifestyle and the benefits of regular physical activity.
To acknowledge the outstanding performances, winners of each category were awarded certificates and prizes. The top three performers in each challenge received medals and trophies as a token of appreciation for their dedication and hard work. Special awards were also given to the 'Fittest Male' and 'Fittest Female' of the event, recognizing their all-around performance across multiple challenges.
Fit Fest 2.0 was a resounding success, reinforcing the importance of fitness and resilience in student life. The event not only fostered a spirit of healthy competition but also created a sense of camaraderie and teamwork among participants. It encouraged students to adopt a more active lifestyle, emphasizing the significance of endurance, strength, and perseverance.
With an overwhelmingly positive response from participants and spectators, Fit Fest 2.0 has set a new benchmark for fitness events at the institution.
