Brief Report:
On the 28th of May, 2024, Dr. D. Y. Patil B-School, Pune, organized an enriching guest session titled “How to Write Really Good Articles for Premier Academic Journals.” The session was conducted online and saw active participation from students, researchers, and faculty members keen on enhancing their academic writing skills.
The session was led by Dr. Raja Sankaran, a renowned academician and researcher with extensive experience in publishing in top-tier journals. Dr. Sankaran began by emphasizing the significance of publishing in premier journals for academic and professional growth. He highlighted the competitive nature of academic publishing and the need for meticulous preparation and presentation of research work.
Dr. Sankaran systematically covered various aspects of academic writing, starting from the initial stages of choosing a research topic to the final stages of manuscript submission. He elaborated on the following key points:
Identifying and Formulating Research Questions: Dr. Sankaran stressed the importance of selecting relevant and impactful research questions. He shared tips on how to ensure that the research questions are original and contribute to the existing body of knowledge.
