Objectives:
1) To help the students identify real world problems and deep thinking within them.
2) To impart knowledge to students the importance of innovation and idea generation.
3) To provide guidance on understanding Innovation methodology, framework & building on skills and tools for Problem solving and ideation.
Brief Report:
On January 12th 2024, Dr. D.Y. Patil B-School's Start-up and Innovation Cell,
with the collaboration of the IIC Council, arranged for an session on Entrepreneurial Mindset on
National Youth Day at their Tathawade Campus in Pune. The resource person and the chief
speaker of this session was Mr. Avelo Roy, Managing Director and Start-up Mentor at Kolkata
Ventures. The event started with a warm welcome to the guest and a round of applause. The
session started with a general introduction of National Youth Day and Swami Vivekananda.
National Youth Day is celebrated on January 12th every year in India to commemorate the
birthday of Swami Vivekananda, one of the most influential spiritual leaders and thinkers of the
19th century. This day is not only a tribute to the revered philosopher but also serves as a
platform to recognize the energy, enthusiasm, and potential of the youth in shaping the future of
the nation. National Youth Day serves as a reminder of the critical role that young people play in
nation-building. It encourages them to reflect on their potential, responsibilities, and the values
that can contribute to the progress of society. The day is marked by various events, seminars,
workshops, and cultural programs aimed at promoting the holistic development of the youth. The
session further was elaborated by the speaker about the starting of entrepreneurship and the
beginning. entrepreneurship is a dynamic and transformative force that propels individuals to
innovate, create, and drive economic growth. It embodies the spirit of risk-taking, resilience, and
the pursuit of opportunities to bring about positive change. Entrepreneurs, as the architects of
innovation, play a crucial role in shaping industries, fostering job creation, and contributing to
the overall development of societies.
