Introduction of the Chief Guest
Shri Anupam Kher Ji is one of India’s most admired and versatile actors. Heis also a film producer, an acting school founder, and an award-winning philanthropist. He began his glorious career on the silver screen with National award-winning roles and then went on to give great performances in film.
The Government of India honored him with the Padma Shri in 2004 and the Padma Bhushan in 2016 for his contribution in the field of Indian cinema and arts.
His accolades include National Film Awards, and holds the record as the only actor in the industry to have won eight consecutive Filmfare awards. He also won the IIFA award for ‘Outstanding Contribution by an Indian to International Cinema’ in 2013. He recently won Best Actor’s award at New York City International Film Festival for his Short Film Happy Birthday in the year 2022. Anupam Ji also received the Dalai Lama Award for his work with underprivileged children. He works actively with the Kashmiri-Pandit refugee community, and serves as the Goodwill Ambassador for Pratham Educational Foundation.
In 2008, he established The Anupam Kher Foundation, to spread education among less privileged children, and to provide care to people with life-limiting diseases.He authored his first book on his philosophy on life coaching, titled ‘The Best Thing About You is You!’ in 2011. The book was endorsed by many celebrities and is a bestseller.
For his untiring contribution, Anupam ji was awarded an honorary doctorate degree in Philosophy of Hindu Studies by the Hindu University of America in 2021.
Introduction of Guest of Honours
The guest of honour was Saurabh Raj Jain, who became the household namewith his portrayal of Lord Krishna in Mahabharata that met with nation wide acclaim and proved to be “Game changer” for him and for which he also received best actor award in lead role in Indian telly awards 2014. He has also portrayed the role of Lord Vishnu-in Devo k dev Mahadev, which also received critical appraisal.
Suhail A Kazi (I.R.S.) at his present designation is an Additional Commissioner, GST Investigation, Pune Zone and is In-charge – Western Maharashtra and Konkan. As Deputy Commissioner, in Pune, as a part of theRegional Economic Intelligence Committee (R.E.I.C.’s), co-ordinated with other agencies like the Enforcement Directorate (E.D.), Income Tax Department, Customs Department, C.B.I., Maharashtra Police, S.E.B.I., R.B.I., S.B.I., State VAT Department, etc for sharing the data pertaining to crimes related to economic offences and issues of national security. For suchsuccessful co-ordination among various govt. agencies and recovery of morethan Rs. 100 crores in a single year, received an “Appreciation letter from the Finance Minister of India”.

Detailed Report
The convocation ceremony started with a warm welcome of our Chief guest Shri. Anupam Kher ji and Guest of Honour Shri. Saurabh Raj Jain and Suhail A Kazi and all the other dignitaries with Dhol Taasha.
As all the dignitaries got seated on their respective seats , further the ceremony started with the National Anthem.
In the ceremony, we proudly shared about our DYPBS theatre group who has recently won ‘AAGAAZ’ which is one of the National Level Drama Competition at Asia’s Largest Cultural Festival “Mood Indigo” 2022 organized by IIT BOMBAY. Then with Lord Krishna’s saying, “A man is made by his beliefs,as he believes,so he becomes. He is who, develops the seed of compassion, faith , dedication, values and beliefs” we proceeded further. Then our music mentors gave one music performance which was very mesmerizing and further a group of girls performed adance which was very gracefully performed with coordination.
Further, The Chief Guest, Guest of Honor and all the dignitaries escorted to the dais by the Academic Team and with the Sanskrit saying “ATITHI DEVO BHAVA” , lighting of Lamp/Planting the knowledge Seeds was done by the Chief Guest, Guest of Honor and the dignitaries on the Dais. Then introduction of Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. P.D. Patil, Hon’ble Pro Chancellor Dr. Bhagya Shree Patil, Hon’ble Dr. Somnath Patil sir, Secretary Dr D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth Society and
Dr. D.Y. Patil Unitech Society and Hon’ ble Vice Chancellor Dr. N.J. Pawar was done. Then we all rise for Saraswati Vandana. Further, felicitation of the guests was done by Hon’ble Dr. Somnath Patil and Dr. Amol Gawande sir.
Then welcome Speech and Presentation of Report was done by the Director, Dr. Amol Gawande. Further introduction was done of Guest of Honor and Chief Guestand then Guest of Honor and Chief Guest addressed the gathering one after other. Then graduation speech and administering of Oath was done by Hon’ble Dr. Somnath Patil sir and 122 students from 2020-2022 batch. Further, presentation of Medals by the dignitaries was done and conferring the Degrees by dignitaries was also done to from Business Analytics specialization, International Business Management Specialization and Pharma Management Specialization for PGDM batch 2020-2022. Further, vote of Thanks was given & Declaration of closing was done. And further we concluded the ceremony by singing Pasaydan and then convocation procession leaves.
At the last, YUVA 2022-23 prize distribution was done and MARKETINGDIVISION - 1 was the winner of Yuva 2022-23.
