Brief Description:
The workshop was aimed at developing and nurturing the leadership qualities among the faculty members who hold key positions in the institute and are responsible for making and taking key decisions in their respective departments. The workshop was jointly held for Dr. D. Y. B-School and Hotel Management Catering & Technology Institute of Dr. D. Y. Patil Unitech Society.
The workshop was held for 3days for 7 hours each. CEO of the Connect Quotient – Mr. Klapesh Raichura was the trainer for the workshop. A pre-workshop link on self analysis was sent by him to all the participants. This self test analysis was based on the personality traits w.r.t how a person behaves and acts in different situations and what are his major saboteurs for e.g. is he a stickler, avoider, controller, stickler, pleaser, hyper-rational, hyper-achiever, restless or hyper-vigilant. The first day of the workshop was majorly aimed at discussing in detail what these saboteurs are and how an individual behave in the purview of these saboteurs many a times- consciously or unknowingly. The trainer also helped to identify such traits how one should guard oneself it at all crops up.
The second day of the workshop was mostly on understanding the sage mode and finding a child in everyone. The trainer also conducted certain activities related to the same. The participants were asked to visualize oneself in a situation after 5 years from where they would like to see their students and their institute and each participant were asked to share their vision and how it felt to visualize the same. And certain portion of the workshop also dealt with the ways to express what are they doing at the institute and why are they doing it. Is it in line with the vision that they just visualized. The session ended with the trainer asking the participants to work on vision and the values of the institute.
In the third session the discussion started with the participants presenting their piece of assignment related to what is the vision and values of their institute. What are the strategies, key milestones, strength, weakness, opportunity and threats they consider w.r.t their institute. The participants were also asked to write a book on themselves – what would the title of that book would be. He aslo asked who is the role model from their day to day life and what the reason for them to choose that person is. He then connected it with the organization and said the any organization should be built on certain values that they become a role model for common masses as well. Dr. Somnath Patil – Secretary of Dr. D. Y. Patil Unitech Society was also present at the end of the workshop and shared his expectations as well as what he envisions for the respective organizations.
He also presented a set of books to each participant present there.
