The college years are filled with memories drawn from classes, social events, clubs, friends, professors, etc. College is one of the most exciting and beautiful times in a person's life. You learn and explore yourself, discover your potential and face harsh realities of life while making relationships that will endure for a lifetime.

This makes Dr. D.Y. Patil B-School stand out from other management schools in that we understand the importance of this time in students' lives.

In addition to making students industry-ready, we also enable them to develop skills for life that are applicable at every point throughout their careers. Since the beginning of these two years, we treat our students like family, by being there for them at every step during these two years as their Guardian.

Professional Advancements for Management Grads

  • Corporate exposure to students: We make students into versatile employees, which is a necessity in the corporate world. The curriculum designed for post-graduates focuses on their ability to multi-task and help them become resourceful individuals that will allow them to function well in their professional roles within the company.
  • Student Internship Program: Companies offer internships to students from their respective fields after the second semester. During this program, students are sent for 6 months of practical work experience, which helps them better understand the actual workings of companies. Besides internships, we put students on various projects where they have to work with a team and submit a report about their work. The program provides the individual with an understanding of their strengths and weaknesses, as well as a reality check of their position
  • Capstone Project: We offer students the capstone project, which gives them a competitive advantage over their peers. The capstone project involves students assisting foreign companies to solve real-world problems and presenting solutions that help them develop important skills like problem-solving, critical thinking, effective communication, creativity, as well as structural strategy making.
  • Industrial Visits: Students learn more about what it's like to work in the real world during industrial visits. Furthermore, they provide students with an excellent chance to gain a thorough understanding of industrial practices. As a result, students become aware of new technologies.
  • Practical Learning or Management Activities/Games: The best way to learn is through games or fun activities. According to psychology, the human brain grasps and analyzes concepts faster and retains them longer when they are done in games or any event. Dr. D.Y. Patil B-School believes that learning should be fun and on this idea, we don’t keep learning bound to classrooms and arrange activities based on each management theory which helps students to get a deeper and logical understanding of the concepts. When you start understanding management practices, practically the best individual can implement them in their professional career.

Non - Academic Edge

Studies and fun go hand in hand at Dr. DY Patil. It is never our intention to confine our students to becoming bookworms and we always encourage them to explore everything in these two years so that they can enjoy student life to the fullest.

Students can engage in clubs that help them develop their practical skills where they have a vital role to play in the association by being in a position where they can develop leadership skills, conflict management, teamwork, persuasion skills and much more.

  • Rotaract Club: A Rotaract Club is more than just a club; it is an exciting journey where you recognize your skills in a position of authority and responsibility and have the opportunity to work with other Rotaract city members to better the community at large. The club works for people, society, and students. An individual gets the opportunity to volunteer and work for a social cause while also going to places in the city for club work, which provides great exposure for them and an opportunity to socialize with others. The club's events are unique since every event offers a drill to the participants and members.
  • Start-up Club: This club is designed especially for those students who want to start their own business. The goal is to network with owners, aspiring entrepreneurs, share ideas, etc. Dr. D. Y. Patil B-School has specialized professors who are business experts and have connections with a lot of entrepreneurs, they can help the students by sharing their experience and helping them to start.

When it comes to learning and enhancing skills we always try to deliver the best to our students. Life at Dr. D.Y. Patil B-School is incredible and a roller coaster.

If we say from a student perspective then it’s a lifetime of unforgettable memories to be part of where days can be good and bad but each day has its own value that will add to the individual life. It’s a perfect combination of academics and co-curricular activities.
