Brief Report :
Dr. D.Y.Patil B-School organized the Intercollegiate Book Review Competition on National
Librarian’s Day. This National Librarian’s Day is celebrated all over India on the birthday of Dr. S. R. Ranganathan as Librarian’s Day. Event Started at 3.00 pm in Auditorium. The event was hosted by student co-ordinators Ms.Kamakshi and Ms.Kavita. Dr. Amol Gawande, Director of D. Y. Patil B-School welcomed all dignitaries and students. Ms.Shital Nikam spoke about the contributions of Dr. S R Ranganathan to the field of library science. Dr.Amol Gawande felicitated the Library staff (Mr.Mangesh Ohal – Librarian, Ms.Shital Nikam – Assistant Librarian and
Ms.Prathibha Sonkusare – Library Clerk) on the occasion of Librarian’s Day. Mr. Pankaj Mittal and Mrs. Geetika Jha were present as judges. Dr. Amol Gawande felicitated the Judges, and the event began. 23 students from different colleges registered for the event. Mr. Pankaj Mittal guided and motivated all the students for their future endeavours. The top three performers were awarded prizes and appreciation certificates. Participation certificates were awarded to all the participants. The Intercollegiate Book Review Competition was a resounding success, achieving its goals of promoting reading, critical thinking, and writing skills among all students.
