My Dear Students,

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to Dr. D. Y. Patil B-School, Pune.

We believe that students must be empowered and equipped to face the continuous challenges of the corporate world by bridging the gap between their knowledge and the requirements of the industry to produce technically sound and innovative managers who have original thinking. At Dr. D. Y. Patil B-School, this is sought to be achieved with the focussed and professional efforts of the management supported by the passion of its highly qualified faculty.

While education is imparted within the framework and guidelines laid down by the regulatory bodies, we enhance classroom teaching with seminars, workshops, industrial visits, corporate lectures, home assignments and tests, besides co-curricular activities. The curriculum is designed according to NEP 2020.

Our programmes aim to impart practical skills needed for the corporate world, provide training for employability skills, and empower students to become effective leaders, in addition to inculcating integrity, sincerity and dedication among the students.

We employ diverse methods, including lectures, seminars, workshops, technical (lab) sessions, and industrial visits. Students engage in experiential learning, real-time projects, certification courses, desertation, and research-based projects. The curriculum encompasses topics on entrepreneurship, specialization specific modules, aptitude tests, etc., fostering academic growth.

It is indeed true that “Change begins at the end of the comfort zone.” We empower students to become influential leaders with the values of integrity, sincerity and dedication.

Dr. Amol Gawande, best known for his cerebral, creative endeavours, progressive mindset, resilient, visionary acclaimed of being the youngest director at Dr. D.Y. Patil B-School, Pune and has been conferred with the academic fraternity since about sixteen years.

He is NSE Certified, CCC Certified from DOECC and has earned Entrepreneurship Development Certification from the Department of Science and Technology, India. Under his extrusive leadership, Dr. D. Y. Patil B-School is a proud member of Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) under the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

He has received many awards and accolades from “Best Director of the Year Award”, “Most Visionary and Innovative Director of the Year Award”, “Rashtriya Siksha Gaurav Puraskar” to “National Happiness Uniocorn Award” in 2022. He has filed for 9 Patents and got the grant for his 3 Patents. He has presented research papers in several International Universities like Harvard University and MIT University, published 2 text books, 5 edited books, 12 book chapters, 7 case studies, 27 journal Papers, 11 conference proceedings, 7 News articles, 16 conference Presentations and 5 copyrights.

He is a proud member of many professional and social bodies. He is serving as the Executive Board Member of AIMS (Association of Indian Management Schools) and prior to this, he served as the Chairman of AIMS, Pune Chapter. He is also the Vice President of CEGR (Centre for Education, Growth and Research, New Delhi). He is the Executive Member of Management Education & Research Consortium Global (MERC Global) and International Association of Business Researchers, India. He is the Founder Member of International Association of Commerce & Management, India.

Under his prominent leadership, excellent vision and differentiated approach, Dr. D.Y. Patil B-School has received several high standing awards for being the Best Emerging B-Schools in India from Times of India and ET Now. He is a bonafide prodigy, dynamic at his approach, treasure-trove of talent, holds special inclination towards music and is student centroidal. He is an excellent leader pitching and striving for perfection.
