The Orientation Ceremony of DYPBS Startup and Innovation Cell was conducted on 29th June, 2022 for PGDM batch 2022-24. The Orientation was hosted by Mr. Ujjwal Sarathe and Ms. Garima Joshi. They told us that before the Startup and Innovation cell was established in 2019, entrepreneurship development activities were undertaken since the year 2014.
The host gave us plenty of information about the startup and innovation cell at D. Y. Patil B-School i.e. it is a platform for young aspiring entrepreneurs, where ideas can be nurtured into viable and growing business with some expert mentoring, which will guide, help and assist us throughout the process to co-ordinate and synergize various strands of excellence, innovation, entrepreneurship and will also help us to find initial funding and networking while turning our ideas into action. Startup and Innovation Cell has created an entrepreneurial ecosystem in the campus and will help in betterment of the society by producing more job creators and social reformists. Also they informed us about the composition of the Club which consists of two Chief Advisors and has composition of 11 designations for faculties.
The team encouraged the students if they have any innovative idea, they will be there to guide, support and mentor the individuals or groups throughout their process. Interested students who want to be the part of this ecosystem have to go through 2 level selection process first interview being conducted by the student panel and then by the faculties. Huge excitement had been seen among the students to be the part of Startup and Innovation Cell team.
Key outcomes of the Event:
- Students were able to get a brief about the club of the college.
- Students got a view as to what all they could achieve being in the club.
- Students were able to understand the importance of entrepreneurial skills.
