Objective(s)

The objective of the competitions is to encourage the students to develop Innovative and Creative business plans, to understand the aspects which are involved in the planning process and reward the best Plan.

Brief Report-

Intra Institutional Business Plan Competition was conducted as part IIC 5.0, initiative under Ministry of Education’s Institution’s Innovation council program, aimed at fostering the culture of innovation and start-up ecosystem in education institutions. The session was mainly aimed to provide a platform for the students to present their disruptive ideas.

There was good response from the students. The Innovation Coordinator Dr.Asha Kiran S, briefed the students about the event.

Under the prominent leadership of the Director and Chief-Advisor, Dr. Amol Gawande, DYPBS Start-Up and Innovation Cell has been established to promote innovation in the institution through multitudinous modes leading to an innovation, promoting entrepreneurial eco-system in the campus.

Guidelines for the Business Plan Competition:

  1. The team size : Minimum 1 and a Maximum of 4 members.
  2. The Business plan should be presented in 10-15 slides.
  3. All entries will present their B-plans to an expert panel of judges for not more than 10 minutes, followed by a Q&A with the panel.
  4. The proposed B-Plan must solve an existing problem or fulfil latent demand. The solution could be in the form of a product or a service.

  4. Scalability
  5. Financial feasibility

There was overwhelming response from the enthusiastic students throughout the event.

Key Outcome-

To unleash innovative temper among the students and students acquired awareness about market research, which is required at the early stage of start-up planning.
