Brief Profile- Mr. Avelo Roy is the managing director and startup mentor Kolkata Ventures. He started his entrepreneurial journey at just 19, where he leveraged patent pending technology to create a ty to create a million-dollar valuation e com by the age of 22. Mr. Avelo Roy has now diversified imo consumer electronics, Al systems, healthcare automation, food science, wireless communication, and many more remarkable areas. He had mentored over 550 startups through Kolkata Ventures. He, being the great-great-grandson of Mrs. Sarojini Naidu, is contin her legacy by imparting entrepreneurial wisdom rooted in the lean startup methodology. He is a global youth icon with a monthly reach of 400,000 on social media. He has delivered more than 500 speeches, including four TEDx talks, and participated d in promoting events. He has has over seven seven a awards and 100+ media features.

Brief Report
On January 28, 2024, Dr. D.Y. Patil B-School's Startup and innovation cell with the Collaboration of the IIC council, arranged a field trip from their Tathawade campus in Pune to FabLab Vigyan Ashram in Pahal, Dist. Pune, Maharashtra. The resource person and chief Speaker of this session was Mr. Avelo Roy, Managing Director, and start-up Mentor at Kolkata venture. Embarked on an educational field trip to FabLab Vigyan Ashram located in Pahal, Dist. Pune, Maharashtra, India. The purpose of the trip was to expose participants pants to cutting-edge technology, innovation, and hands-on learning experiences offered by the FabLab.
FabLab Vigyan Ashram is a unique facility that provides a platform for individuals to explore and create using advanced fabrication tools and technology. The lab is situated in the serene surroundings of Pabal, offering an ideal environment for learning and creativity. Upon arrival. the group was warmly welcomed by the staff at FabLab Vigyan Ashram. The team provided a brief overview of the lab's mission, goals the various activities that take place within the facility. The participants were divided inte smaller groups, each led by a knowledgeable guide who would would navigate navigate them them through through the different sections s of the lab. The The etour to tour commenced commence with an introduction to the FabLab's infrastructure, highlighting the state-of-the-art equipment available for use. Participants were introduced to 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC machines, other cutting-edge tools. The guides explained the functioning of each machine, emphasizin their applications in prototyping, design, and manufacturing. One of the highlights of the v was the hands-on activities offered by FabLab Vigyam Ashram. Participants had the opportuni to create their designs using the available tools. From conceptualizing an idea to transform it into a tangible product, the hands-on experience allowed the participants to understand the practical applications of the real-world scenarios. scenarios. Throughout the visit. participants had the chance to interact with experts and professionals working at the FabLab. These internetions provided valuable insights into the field of fabrication, entrepreneurship, the potential career paths associated with these skills. Experts shared their experiences encouraged students to pursue their interests in technology and innovation. The field trip proved to be immensely educational, offering a unique blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application. Participants gained a deeper understanding of advanced manufacturing techniques fostering an appreciation for the role of technology in modem industries.
