Brief Report
To celebrate the spirit of start-up day which is observed on 16 January Dr. D.Y. Patil B-School
Startup & Innovation Cell organized an event to commemorate the renowned Entrepreneurs and
business leaders as well as share knowledge on how to start a business. This activity was done
with a motive to know about view on Startups and how they are changing the world, to about
know about different creative thoughts among the students regarding business and their
knowledge about startups and business. The event started with a grand welcome and felicitation
of the speaker Amol Nitave CEO & Founder EvolvingX. The competition started with an
opening note where Mr. Amol Nitave talked about Entrepreneurship and Startups which is now
a very important part of Indian Economy. He also talked about his journey and how it is coming
to fruition with EvolvingX methodology empowering Lakhs of Youth in the Startup Field and
also a Minor Specialization of Disruptive Innovation Course in colleges and Universities. After
his speech the Start-up competition commenced where 50 students created charts on 360-degree
business model of their startup idea within 1 hour via chart Presentation. To validate and to
know the feasibility of their business ideas. The faculties also asked some meaningful and
related questions on the business models. The event ended with a live inter college business quiz
contest conducted by Amol Nitave to encourage the students on Startups and to ensure a healthy
competition among them. There were few questions from various fields of Business activities and the

1st person to submit the answer was declared the winner. The session ended on a
positive note and lots of encouragement from him as he told the students that for successful
business there is no need to come with some grandiose idea or innovation but some common
knowledge and to work on identifying problems and giving simple solutions which is the key to
success.
