Brief Report:
The "Intra Institution Idea Challenge and Rewarding the Best Idea" event, orchestrated by the
Start-up and Innovation Cell of Dr. D.Y. Patil B School, unfolded as a dynamic and engaging
mic-driven activity. Attended by students, faculty members, and mentors, the primary objective
of this initiative was to foster a culture of innovation by encouraging individuals to participate in
a challenging idea competition.
The event commenced with Mr. Avelo Roy, a distinguished mentor, posing a thought-provoking
question to the students: "After understanding the process of logistics management by
XpressBees, come up with the problems you see in the system and recommend viable
solutions." This sparked a lively exchange of ideas, with students leveraging their innovative
insights to identify challenges faced by XpressBees and propose practical solutions.
To further enhance problem-solving capabilities, Mr. Avelo Roy strategically divided the
students into five groups. Each group was tasked with addressing specific problems encountered
by XpressBees, fostering a collaborative environment for devising optimal solutions. This
activity served as a practical application of the knowledge acquired from the XpressBees
presentation, providing students with the opportunity to work collaboratively and think creatively.
The engaging session not only offered valuable insights into the intricacies of logistics
management but also equipped students with essential problem-solving and teamwork skills.
The collaborative efforts of the groups showcased the diverse perspectives and innovative
thinking within the student body. The event concluded at 1 pm, leaving participants with a
heightened understanding of logistics challenges and a hands-on learning experience. By
bridging the gap between theory and real-world application, the Intra-Institution Idea Challenge
emerged as a catalyst for cultivating an innovative mindset among the students, preparing them
for the challenges of the ever-evolving business landscape.
