Day One: January 7, 2024
The inaugural day of the Student/Faculty Exchange Program saw the arrival of Boston International College faculty members and students in Pune, with meticulous transport arrangements ensuring smooth arrivals. Welcomed by Prof. Kiran Singh and Mr. Pradeep Kumar, participants were greeted with Arti, Tika, and rose flowers. Check-in procedures were followed by an evening Meet and Greet event at Ginger, Wakad, attended by program organizers Dr. Atul Kumar and Prof. Manjiri Joshi. This informal gathering facilitated networking and cultural exchange, setting the stage for collaborative learning and camaraderie throughout the program.
Day Two: January 8, 2024
The second day of the Student/Faculty Exchange Program commenced with an elaborate Induction Program, warmly welcoming participants and dignitaries to Dr. D. Y. Patil B-School. The event began with the resonant notes of the National Anthems of India and Nepal, symbolizing the program's diverse representation. Dr. Sadashiv Padhi, Executive Director at C4i4 Lab, delivered an inspiring speech on the importance of international academic exchange. The day continued with an insightful overview of the program's goals and expectations, led by Prof. Manjiri Joshi. Participants engaged in interactive sessions, forming cross-cultural groups and fostering teamwork. The afternoon featured a Hi-Tea session and a visit to Phoenix Mall, providing opportunities for relaxation and cultural exploration. The day concluded with participants returning to Ginger, Wakad, reflecting on a day filled with enriching experiences and meaningful connections.
Day Three : January 9, 2024
The day began with a session on "New-Age Entrepreneurship" led by Dr. A. G. V. Narayanan from Jansons School of Business, Coimbatore, exploring innovative business strategies and contemporary entrepreneurial practices. This was followed by the formalization of a collaborative partnership between Dr. D. Y. Patil B-School, Pune, and Jansons School of Business, signified by the exchange of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The second session, led by Dr. Atul Kumar, focused on "Strategic Planning - A Pathway to Success," incorporating theoretical insights and a hands-on activity to enhance practical understanding. Lunch provided a casual setting for networking, while an afternoon session with Dr. Aditi Aljapurkar covered "Fundamentals of Management" and administered an assignment to assess understanding. Cultural exploration continued with a screening of "Life is Beautiful," fostering reflection and discussion among participants. The day concluded with participants returning to Ginger, Wakad, after a blend of academic enrichment, cultural immersion, and social bonding, contributing to a holistic exchange experience.
Day Four : January 10, 2024
Participants immersed themselves in a full day of "Learning through Sports Activities" at Reboot Arena from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, engaging in various sports fostering teamwork and communication. Lunch break at 2:00 PM encouraged socializing. The Dinner Party at Hyde, Pune from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM celebrated shared experiences, strengthening bonds among participants..
Day Five : January 11, 2024
On January 11, 2024, the academic journey commenced with a session on "Essentials of Marketing" led by Dr. Ajit Sane at 10:00 AM, providing comprehensive insights into marketing principles. A "Poster Making - Unity in Diversity" activity encouraged creativity, celebrating diverse perspectives. The day continued with a "Poster Presentation" fostering cultural exploration. Dr. Rashmi Paranjpye's session on "Basics of Financial Modelling" enhanced strategic decision-making skills. A brief Hi-Tea session facilitated networking. The day concluded with a cultural visit to ISKCON Temple in Ravet, promoting unity amidst diversity.
Day Six : January 12, 2024
On January 12, 2024, participants of the Student/Faculty Exchange Program in Pune embarked on a day-long historical exploration of the city's landmarks, spanning from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The itinerary included visits to significant sites such as Shaniwar Wada, Lal Mahal, and the Dagdusheth Ganpati Temple, offering insights into Pune's rich heritage. The day concluded with a stroll down Fergusson College Road, showcasing Pune's modern vibrancy. Amidst historical excursions, participants savored local delicacies during "Lunch on the Go," adding a gastronomic layer to cultural immersion. Hi-Tea provided a brief respite for reflection before returning to Ginger, Wakad at 8:00 PM. The historical odyssey not only enriched academic understanding but also fostered profound appreciation for Pune's cultural heritage, embodying the broader objectives of the exchange program. Day Seven : January 13, 2024
On January 13, 2024, participants of the Student/Faculty Exchange Program embarked on an enriching industrial visit from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, visiting Parle, a prominent FMCG company, and the C4i4 Lab, a hub for technological innovation. The visit to Parle offered insights into biscuit manufacturing processes, quality control measures, and supply chain management, guided by industry expert Ms. Swati. Subsequently, participants explored the C4i4 Lab, engaging with advanced technologies and experts in the field. "Lunch on the Go" provided a casual setting for reflection and camaraderie. The day concluded at 6:00 PM, emphasizing the seamless coordination of Dr. Aditi A and Dr. Rashmi P in facilitating a comprehensive learning experience. This industrial visit broadened participants' understanding of business operations and bridged the gap between theory and practice, showcasing Pune's diverse industries and contributing to holistic participant development in the exchange program.
Day Eight : January 14, 2024
The "Coffee with Corporate" session on January 14, 2024, facilitated direct interactions between students, faculty, and corporate guests Prashant Dahibhate from Wipro Limited and Vivek Shinde from Forbes Vyncke & Forbes Marshall. Moderated by Dr. Aditi A, the session aimed to bridge the gap between academia and the corporate world. Through introductions, a Q&A session, and a vote of thanks, participants gained insights into industry trends and personal career journeys. Dr. Aditi A skillfully facilitated group-wise questioning, fostering a diverse range of inquiries and encouraging active participation. This interactive session emphasized not only technical aspects but also the importance of soft skills and adaptability in the professional sphere. In the afternoon, Mr. Ramani Venkat led "Learning through Gamification," applying game elements to enhance understanding of complex concepts. The day concluded with a cultural visit to a Gurudwara, where participants experienced Sikh traditions, engaged in devotional singing, and participated in the Langar service, fostering a deeper appreciation for cultural diversity and community values.
Day Nine : January 15, 2024
The day of January 15, 2024, marked the grand finale of the Student/Faculty Exchange Program with a Cultural Extravaganza that showcased a vibrant tapestry of diversity and talent. Participants engaged in cultural games, music, singing, and dance performances, celebrating the unique identities of DYPBS and BIC. The event fostered unity and mutual understanding, breaking down stereotypes and building lasting connections. Post-cultural programs, participants enjoyed a diverse lunch, reflecting the culinary diversity of the exchange program. The day transitioned to the formal Closing Ceremony, featuring national anthems, felicitations, and speeches by distinguished guests. Academic achievements were celebrated through certificate distribution, highlighting participants' excellence in various activities. Dr. Asha Kiran and Prof. Er. Aprameya Khakurel expressed gratitude, concluding the ceremony with a message of harmony. The day concluded with Hi-Tea, providing participants with an opportunity to reflect on their transformative journey. The Closing Ceremony not only marked the end of the exchange program but also laid the groundwork for lasting friendships and academic collaborations, emphasizing the importance of global learning and cultural understanding.
Day Ten : January 16, 2024
On January 16, 2024, participants and faculties gathered at Ginger, Wakad for a heartfelt farewell, filled with reflection and gratitude. The event celebrated the bonds formed and personal growth experienced during the program, marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of new journeys for all involved.
